Daily living
Compassionate help with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting, and incontinence care — always with dignity and privacy.
Tess' Adult Care Home is two small, owner-operated care homes in Milwaukie, Oregon — side by side, five residents each — where older adults are cared for with dignity, patience, kindness, and respect.
Licensed Oregon Adult Foster Homes · Owner-operated · 24/7 residential care

A note from our home
When you walk in, it doesn't feel like a facility. It feels like a house — because it is one, and both of our homes are owner-operated.
In 25 years of caring for older adults — 21 of them running our own homes — I've learned that good care is about far more than completing daily tasks. It's about making someone feel safe, comfortable, respected, and at home. With only five residents in each home, we have the time to learn each person's routines, preferences, favorite foods, and the stories they love to tell again.
Our caregivers assist with the everyday things — bathing, dressing, meals, and medications — with patience and real affection. Because we're owner-operated, families have direct communication with the people responsible for their loved one's care, and we work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and hospice providers.
If you're looking for a safe, warm place for someone you love, I'd be honored to show you around and answer every question you have.

Personalized Care
Every resident has a care plan built around who they are and what they need — from a little help getting dressed to complex, around-the-clock support.
Compassionate help with bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, toileting, and incontinence care — always with dignity and privacy.
Careful administration and management of daily medications, coordinated with each resident's physician and pharmacy.
Patient, consistent support for residents living with dementia, Alzheimer's, or Parkinson's — built on familiar routines and reassurance.
End-of-life support alongside a resident's hospice team, plus short-term respite stays when families need trusted care for a while.
Nutritious meals and snacks prepared fresh in our kitchen, tailored to each resident's diet, needs, and preferences.
Transfer, mobility, and fall-risk assistance, plus coordination with outside nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.
Experienced care you can trust
Over 25 years we've supported older adults through a wide range of physical and cognitive changes, always with a calm, individualized approach.
Why families choose us
With a maximum of five residents in each home, care is personal and immediate — no waiting, no rotating faces, no being one of forty.
The owner stays personally involved in daily care, so families have direct communication with the people responsible for their loved one — not a call center.
Private and semi-private rooms, a shared kitchen and living room, and a garden to sit in — the rhythms of a house, not a hallway.
From assisted living through dementia, Parkinson's, and hospice, residents can remain in a familiar place as their needs change.
Our two locations
Having two neighboring homes lets us match each resident to the right setting and keep every home small, calm, and personal.
