A note from our home
We run our homes the way we'd want our own mother cared for.
When you walk in, it doesn't feel like a facility. It feels like a house — because it is one, and both of our homes are owner-operated.
In 25 years of caring for older adults — 21 of them running our own homes — I've learned that good care is about far more than completing daily tasks. It's about making someone feel safe, comfortable, respected, and at home. With only five residents in each home, we have the time to learn each person's routines, preferences, favorite foods, and the stories they love to tell again.
Our caregivers assist with the everyday things — bathing, dressing, meals, and medications — with patience and real affection. Because we're owner-operated, families have direct communication with the people responsible for their loved one's care, and we work closely with physicians, nurses, therapists, and hospice providers.

What exactly is an adult foster home?
It's a state-licensed home that provides care and room-and-board for a small number of older adults — no more than five per home. It offers the same daily support as assisted living, but in an actual house with a very high caregiver-to-resident ratio.
You have two homes — what's the difference?
Our two homes sit right next to each other in Milwaukie and offer the same owner-operated, 25-years-experienced care. Having two lets us keep each home small and match every resident to the setting that suits them best. One phone call reaches both.
Do you offer short-term or respite care?
Yes. Alongside long-term residents, we provide respite and short-term stays — a trusted option when a family caregiver needs to travel, recover, or simply rest.
Can you care for dementia, Alzheimer's, or Parkinson's?
Yes. We have specialized experience with memory and neurological conditions. Our approach focuses on dignity, familiar routines, reassurance, and a calm home environment, encouraging independence whenever it's safely possible.
How involved are families in a resident's care?
Very. Because we're owner-operated, families communicate directly with the people responsible for care. We work closely with each resident's physicians, nurses, therapists, and hospice providers, and family is always welcome to visit.
